MABEG MSP 106 successfully installed at AUG. HEINRIGS Druck+Verpackung GmbH, Aachen, a member of rlc packaging group

At company AUG. HEINRIGS Druck + Verpackung GmbH, Aachen (Germany), a member of rlc packaging group, the installation and startup of a MABEG MSP 106 has been successfully completed. AUG. HEINRIGS Druck+Verpackung produces premium packagings for confectionary manufacturers and cosmetic products.

„We were looking for a flexible platform with the capability to accept a diverse range of coding and inspection applications suited for B1format for industrial production, this means besides the functionality also reliability and quality were most important criteria“, says Holger Müller, plant manager at AUG. HEINRIGS.

The configuration that has been selected was a MABEG Sheet Processor MSP 106 – II – 1B1S – 1700, a high-precision sheet transport system for manifold applications, such as Ink-Jet-markings and letterings, print inspection and sorting, or labeling. The heart of the sheet transport and guiding are MABEG precision tables for the use of the applications. In order to cover all required applications for AUG. HEINRIGS, the MSP 106 was equipped with two precision application tables, one as a conventional configuration and one in overhead position so that applications are possible on the front side of the sheet as well on the reverse side of the sheet in one pass without turning the sheet.

„We have had a very tight timeline for this project, and it required the integration of several applications from different specialist companies on the MSP. Thanks to the open modular design principle and the streamlined project organization we were able to keep to the tight time schedule and could go into production in due time. MABEG has impressively confirmed his reputation as a flexible and reliable machine manufacturer“, Holger Müller further pointed out. „With the MSP 106 we now have at our disposal a high-performance machine which can carry out all the coding and verification tasks currently required by our customers. And, in case the applications should change or expand, we can adapt or even enlarge the MSP accordingly if needed. With this, we have a long-term future-oriented platform.”

The sheet transport system is equipped with the following modules (from right rear to left front): MABEG sheet feeder with ClassicFeed suction head, alignment table, precision table for applications from top side, precision table for applications from reverse side, diverter gate with collecting box
for sorted out sheets, sheet stacker.

In July 2013, MABEG Systems GmbH in Germany has successfully executed the very first retrofit of a MABEG ReelSheeter RS 104 on a Heidelberg press, XL105-10-P (2008 model), at a customer’s location in Mexico.A few superior benefits: Utilization of cheaper web materials on sheetfed presses   The variable setting of the cutoff length is at the touch screen display (without using any tools); thus allowing for additional savings on paper costs   The cutoff length at the MABEG ReelSheeter RS may be easily set in steps of .004” by simply entering the corresponding numbers at the...
